I paint with acrylic on canvas, primarily with a palette knife applying thick layers of paint in vibrant colors. To purchase a painting or to schedule a studio visit, please contact me at info@joemcmanis.com
The paintings in this new series emerge from the intersection of abstraction and contemporary interpretations of the natural world. With vibrant colors and dynamic compositions, I strive to capture the essence of landscapes in ways that transcend traditional representation.
Ultimately, my art is an invitation to journey beyond the confines of the canvas, to explore the boundless possibilities of our natural world, and to celebrate the beauty and wonder that surrounds us, even in the most unexpected places.
The paintings in this series are abstract depictions of Rocky Mountain wildlife. The tactile quality of my work draws in the viewer and confronts them with a close encounter with an elusive and sometimes dangerous animal. They capture the essence of the of the animal’s primal nature interpreted in a modern style.
